You might want to give that a look.Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-54445443870736283492020-04-07T03:48:35.983-07:002020-04-07T03:48:35.983-07:00Actually I do have a scan - or several scans - of ...Actually I do have a scan - or several scans - of something that look very like the Usborne buildings. I could I guess sent you some. They seem to be in several pages (files). There's about 60 'pages' of stuff, and it's not always clear what goes with which. I could send a selection, I guess. I downloaded (?) them years ago, but I think I built only one or two.

There is one other option that I have used. Some of my buildings are simply home made out of cereal packets or brick-patterned card got from model shops. In addition, I found and downloaded brick and stone patterns that I've used on my home made buildings.

Finally, it is possible to find some nice and interesting building patterns on line. I have sourced a few of my buildings that way, too. You might try 'Paper Terrain' if you're prepared to part with a few dollars, or just search for 'free paper terrain'. I just did and at once found some nice stuff.
Cheers,
Ion
Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-4128719964410226652020-03-31T01:57:16.718-07:002020-03-31T01:57:16.718-07:00Yes it is a pity, I have enjoyed many of them. I'm looking for somewhere to buy it, they are still reasonably priced in the US but they are very expensive in Europe.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17102148365829311361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-74276490339499956622020-03-30T14:11:45.632-07:002020-03-30T14:11:45.632-07:00It is a pity these books are no longer published. ...It is a pity these books are no longer published. I have a copy, but much of it has been built! These days most war gamers seem to go in for resin or laser cut buildings these days but I still prefer my paper card buildings. The Roman Fort, obviously intended for a permanent garrison, is quite a good piece, too, especially if you're into campaigns and want a Roman base depot.
Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-2055303786533266342012-02-29T20:45:08.124-08:002012-02-29T20:45:08.124-08:00My dear Archduke:

I think the inspiration of using the Usborne book as a template was brilliant. I still have some of the Usborne medieval village buildings in boxes somewhere. Usborne does nice stuff.
Cheers, MikeMad Padrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410143683610813671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-2570545498860807742012-02-29T06:00:38.184-08:002012-02-29T06:00:38.184-08:00Yep they are pretty. v Its been years since I made...Yep they are pretty. v Its been years since I made a card model... where did I put that La Haye Saint....Big Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17235478427317774609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-43945055653999949002012-02-29T03:52:21.108-08:002012-02-29T03:52:21.108-08:00Thanks for the feedback, guys.

But I did want to show these off, as I recalled that I rather liked them.

They are quite easy to make and something similar would be just the thing for campaigns with a potential naval element such as the DBA campaign recently shown on Tim's Wargaming Blog.Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-60568773758248966302012-02-29T01:35:48.799-08:002012-02-29T01:35:48.799-08:00Impressive models, again Ion.
