Unfortunately, the American Civil War dudes still look like American Civil War... Some were Airfix ACW and AWI figures, others Napoleonics, I think Revell (not sure about that), and a few Italeri.

The Diocesan Guard were Airfix AWI Continentals that were (but are no longer) infantry in the service of Altmark-Uberheim; the Hussars are Italeri, a unit that usually sees action in my Austrian Napoleonic army (as the Hessen-Homburg Hussars); the artillery (I fear) were lifted from the Army of M'yasma (Airfix RHA and I'm not sure where the gun comes from - maybe Russian Crimean war?)...Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-87472223919549848562011-01-19T01:44:59.521-08:002011-01-19T01:44:59.521-08:00An exciting action to the last!

I believe to identify some 'napoleonics', some painted in 'original' uniforms (the artillery...) and mybe some from later periods?abdul666https://www.blogger.com/profile/16172686098173637906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-55513290097338527152011-01-18T23:25:10.331-08:002011-01-18T23:25:10.331-08:00Hi Jeff-

I have several buildingsI've scratchbuilt myself, but only one appears in the picture, well to the back.

Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-38298835961269103182011-01-18T19:53:25.042-08:002011-01-18T19:53:25.042-08:00I see some wonderful buildings in your town. It will, of course, be displayed with pride (when I figure out how to do so!).

Freecloud: the rules I use are my own, but owe a great deal to Young and Lawford's 'Charge!', to Charles Grant's 'The War Game', with some aspects of 'Terrible Swift Sword' and 'Wizard's Quest' added to the mix.

Designed for larger scale actions, they seem to work for small as well, though, as you might guess, the results of the latter can be very chancy. The action at Zerbst could have gone decisively either way. As it happened the action was ended rather arbitrarily where it did, considering that a counter-attack against the regulars probably a bit too much to expect from a hastily assembled mob of townsmen and countryfolk. I had to go outside the system for that, but it seemed narratively plausible.

Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-84857799014234678462011-01-18T15:40:13.916-08:002011-01-18T15:40:13.916-08:00Stirring stuff!
