But I'll give them this: the sort of designs in these pictures derive from tagging. I never can quite read them, but I find the best examples hold my attention a whole deal longer than most modern art does. But then, I take the view that Philistinism is as legitimate a standpoint as any other.
Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-70119615726057846232012-12-27T03:42:54.691-08:002012-12-27T03:42:54.691-08:00I enjoy reading yours, too Rodger. It is a handy way of discovering others doing the sort of thing I like doing. Somehow, that din't happen with yours, and, having looked (possibly again) can not explain why. From what I have seen just now, our wargaming tastes - give or take the fantasy stuff - seem pretty similar.

Mind you, were it not for an iron self-discipline (it's probably something else, but let's settle for some gratuitous self-praise, here), I'd be into the steampunk genre myself. The notion has attracted me ever since the old 'Space, 1889' days.

Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-78122907322125239892012-12-26T21:01:03.843-08:002012-12-26T21:01:03.843-08:00nice pictures Mr Dowman. the art is interesting, h...nice pictures Mr Dowman. the art is interesting, however its a shame such talent is not to be found emoungst all those who apply sprayed paint upon walls.

oh and thanks for recomending the Book Master and Commander, I was in Pukekohe (you may have heard of it) the next door town to Waiuku and in the book shop (a good one) next to the model shop I bought a copy, sorry if my story is long winded but it seems odd that 2 good (book shop is better) places are right next to each other. oh in the model shop I bought a bag of balsa... made in ecuador (I actually read the spanish before I read the english)Daisy Gowan Ditchburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07476802587483833107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-18987731549874584722012-12-26T20:55:32.603-08:002012-12-26T20:55:32.603-08:00I enjoy your blog.
