Additionally, if you disrupt command, then forward attacking units lose their impetus as they start losing artillery support, and have to start worrying about their own flanks and rear.

Regards, ChrisChris Kemphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15784847480097649252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-60257294570454689862020-05-02T19:07:47.573-07:002020-05-02T19:07:47.573-07:00This scenario was based upon something that was po...This scenario was based upon something that was posted in Sam Mustafa's 'Rommel' group. I had to carve the thing up quite a bit. The place names are mine, the formation IDs from the original, I supplied the unit IDs, I suspect inaccurately from the German point of view, though they might have been speculative or fictional to begin with.

Altogether it was a pretty tense action in which both sides fought each other to a standstill.
Cheers,
Ion Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-59713602730889674172020-05-02T19:02:03.132-07:002020-05-02T19:02:03.132-07:00Hi Bob -

Possibly limiting it to anti-tank/ anti-AFV shooting only, as you suggest.
Thanks for your warm remarks -
Cheers
Ion.Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-86234672759446007672020-05-02T10:07:51.781-07:002020-05-02T10:07:51.781-07:00Great stuff. It is inspiring me to think about how to set up the scenario myself. 1943 is an interesting time on the Eastern Front, quite balanced in lots of ways.

I just have a few other games in the pipeline first...
Martin Rapierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788664847205341619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6650770985225450559.post-35743925235115892702020-05-02T03:04:36.545-07:002020-05-02T03:04:36.545-07:00Archduke Piccolo,
Another thrilling instalment .....Archduke Piccolo,

Another thrilling instalment ... and I can hardly wait to read the conclusion!

I think that your point about tank and anti-tank fire against the flanks and rear of enemy armoured units is worth thinking about. I’d be tempted increase the D6 die score by 1 when tank or anti-tank guns are firing into to flank or rear of an enemy AFV unit.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.com
